Back to the Beginning

The creation of Alexandria and it's surrounding Areas have been years in the making. I first started writing and creating the story back in 2009 when I joined the Army. I spent my spare time talking to my combat buddies, and they helped create some of the characters in the story, some of them even loaned their names to the story for the names of places and such. My purpose in this post and RP is to return the Mainland to this time, an Alternate Reality if you will. This RP will not only incorporate Alexandria and Sati, but also the Jungle Forested Centura Nations to the West, and the Cold Northern mountains and tundra to the north. Sivad is still the ruler of Alexandria, Luka is young, just starting his teen years. The Centura Nations are ruled by Robyn This is a chance to restart and rewrite the history of Alexandria, and to see what direction the story could've gone if I had not disappeared from the face of the earth back then. So here is all the information (slightly modified) from the original story that would later become the RP we currently know.

Alexandria Castle/Town-Alexandria Castle Town lies to the East of the Mainland. Built and ruled by the Leinad Family, it has become a bustling metropolis of trade and entertainment.

Sati Castle/Town-Located in the southernmost part of the Mainland, Ruled by Siblings Janier and Linares Isha. Janier takes care of the defenses and war council, while Linares worries about the politics and affairs of state. Sati Castle Town is Alexandria's sister city, and is home to many of the finest artisans, farmers and scholars in the world. The university at Sati is the most prestigious, teaching everything from the sciences and mathematics to politics and theater. Being in the south, they have the most fertile land, growing the fruits and vegetables for all the other nations.

Centura-The Centura Nation has no capital, or cities and towns for that matter. The Centuras are divided into clans and tribes, each clan possessing a certain kind of :Shift: The most powerful being the Shia, able to shift their forms into anything at will. The Draconia, shift into Dragons, Liona into Lions, Aviana into Birds, Cobriana into Snakes. They are all extremely territorial and dangerous.

Shaaron-North of the Ayatollah Apprime Mountain Range, Shaaron is home to Lord Absher's Estate, a rich and powerful man with extreme homicidal, dissociative, and skitzophrenic tendencies. Behind Lord Absher's Estate lies the WinterCrest Valley, but no one has been there in so long, they have forgotten what it looks like.



Thus is the setting. Each area, as it becomes explored will be explained. Welcome to the Mainland, how it was originally intended to be.

Sivad stood at the window that overlooked the town. High in the tower that was his bedroom, he gripped the apparatus that Linares had given him last Solstice Eve. It was two round tubes mounted on a pole, on one side was two sets of large glass pieces, the other side was inset with smaller pieces. She called them ocular enhancers, and when he looked down he could see the expressions of the people as they went about their lives. He trained the device on a lone teen as he strode through the market confidently. It was extra crowded today, as everyone was preparing for the upcoming Festival. 1,000 years after the founding of Alexandria, and yet still it stood. The town had started small, and when Sivad inherited from his parents some 50 years ago, he had improved the town exponentially, making Alexandria the main trading hub. The young man moved through the crowd silently, like a wraith, never touching or bumping another person. He moved his device to outside the walls, scanning the distant horizon of rolling hills that made up the Ashura Plains, the dividing factor between the four nations. Riders rode the perimeter, catching danger before it had a chance to make it to the two towns that served as guard posts, and was the only roads that lead directly to Alexandria's front gates. Casting once last glance over the battlements, inspecting the soldiers on duty upon the wall, he nodded, satisfied and turned toward the door. It was time to placate the masses. Once a week, Sivad held open court, where the citizens could come in and present their problems to their leader, knowing that they would be solved.

Mandelyn flew up to his room shortly after he had started his day, opening the door to her room, study area. Just off Sivad's room. Bookshelves lined all four walls, stacks of books upon the wide desk. She collapsed into her desk and chair staring st the magic closet her sister had given her it for her her birthday so ling ago. Unclipping her swords she breathed out softly touching the lovely soft wood, breathing in memories. Mixing some herbs together, she drank and ate them, noticable changes to her health had occured. Mandelyn's semi-tan soft skin was softt and the wounds were just scars now. Her emerald eyes had cleared up perfectly. Changing into a long flowing skirt, and respectful shirt, a belt went over her slender stomach. She was wearing all while aside the the blue thin belt. Walking downstairs toward Sivad she had started to braid her hair humming softly to herself. She came up behind him quietly. Her fingers rested upon the shoilder, emerald eyes shining brightly. She walked backwards smiling at him, she was so full of life and light

He stood and took her hand as she entered, escorting her to her seat next to him, his hand never leaving hers. The crowd filed. "This meeting of the people's court will now begin." The line grew, and he sat there, listening to each complaint and passing judgement, deferring some of the other questions to Mandy's expertise. As the last of the crowd filed out, he stood, pulling Mandy into his arms. "Luka is out exploring the marketplace today, we've got nothing going on for awhile." He kissed the top of her head and ran his hands down her shoulders to hers, picking them up and taking them into his.

Mandelyn answered and gave responces when asked, her advice was cherished greatly. Watching the crowd disperce she opened her wide lovely wings and wrapped them around them. "What does our boy think hes going to find down there? What would you prefer we do today?" Her skin was softly tanned from all her recent out door work. "I have ideas on buildings we could remodel or use." She had been planning new things for some time, there wasnt much time for her now though with the city and people always around. Squeezing his hand she smiled and looked out the stain glass window with a smile. It was beautiful outside today, a cool gentle breeze, warm sunlight bathing the world

He took her arm in his, walking toward the front doors of the castle. The guards opened them as he escorted her out into the sunlight and open air. "Let's take a walk through the city, tell me your ideas, let's just enjoy the day and relax, it seems to be a beautiful day for it." They walked down the path, as it opened up into the city, a small, unused building sat to the left. He stopped and inspected it. It was set lower than the other buildings, with small steps leading down into a wide empty room. He took her hand as he entered the building and smiled. "I know what we can do with this building. You've noticed how Luka has taken an interest in metal? What would you think about turning this into a forge so he could have a hobby, something to keep his mind occupied and a way he can get out of the castle more often." He turned and faced her, pulling her into his arms and hugging her gently

Leaning on him as they walked out the door she breathed in the lilac smelling air with a smile. The sunlight shimmered off her golden hair, her almost baked cookie color of her skin shined. She looked at the building and ran her hands over a wall "I actually like that idea. " Smiling up at him she kissed him softly, her arms wrapping around him. Giggling she pouted. "Oh you want the kids gone more often huh?" she poked his nose and her face got a bit sad"The south west of the city is falling apart.. i figured id spend time fixing up all the buildings with willing participants? Lily needs to do charity work for class, so do a few other students of mine." She smiled up at him sadly. "Auron isn't himself for some reason and its scaring me" she kicked a loose rock and felt the walls again. "Do you want to rennovate this with Luka?"

"Actually I thought I'd get it started on my own, then we could finish it together. Let him have some say in the layout, it'll be great father son time." He began to plan it in his mind quickly as they continued walking through the market, passing vendors selling all things, fish, jewelry, exotic birds. It was the biggest market in the world. His voice dropped to hushed tones. "Well, Auron will no longer be stressed out for much longer. I plan to dissolve the Council and turn Alexandria into a Democracy. There will be a ruling seat, the senate, below that the house. We will make Alexandria Nation one that is run by the people, and for the people." He thought back to when he first thought of this plan. "I think it is important for the people to have a say in the government and politics that effect their lives. It's wrong for one person to make all the decisions for a group without having the opinions of the other people. The council will be dissolved, they will be given enough money to live comfortably as long as they live within their means, and they will be allowed to go wherever and do whatever." He nodded and took her hand. He had long sensed some darkness at the heart of the council, maybe dissolving it would bring it out where it could be eliminated.

" I think you two could use some bonding time." Mandelyn said as she intertwined her fingers with his. Walking through the market she smiled at everyone who gave a little wave to her and addressed them by name with a hello and their name after. Sighing softly he saw her bite her lip in frustration but kept up her being happy. "I agree with the Democracy but I doubt that he will stand down as head darling. He asked me to create a team of me, things like me, experiment on willing , pure participants... " her wings held low. "I do not understand why there should be any more than trained students, Lily and I..." she trailed off "I want to know what he is up to Sivad... " Looking at her arms from the first experiments she kept walking towards where she wanted to rebuild for the people. Run down market stands, and small houses were falling apart. Running a finger down the wall some of it crumbled "I can bring Lily and my students here, get this fixed up, then do that with the worst sections until the city is all around the same quality homes and things again.. " She smiled up at him softly "People will actually be able to spread out again and not be so cramped up with one another
