Kati De'Triest

Name: Kati De'triest (Maiden name: Ta'sheil)

Race: Half angel - Type of angel: guardian - Human half tainted by demonic forces.

Physical Appearance + personality: (Three forms. See below)
Angelic form- In this form 18 hours a day (Changes at midnight and back at 6 in the morning). Long red hair is usually allowed to fall down her back, though it sometimes gets in the way in fights. Her bright green eyes rarely change but the occasions where she does, they change to pure white, a warning sign to get as far away from her as you can unless you're sworn to her protection. Her clothing style varies greatly, depending on her mood and the occasion. Angelic form also has a pair of wings, about 6 feet across. They are strong but for additional protection in flight or fighting, they grow a thick coat of super-hard ice. They are soft white and begin to sparkle due to the ice.
In this form, she's sarcastic but still loving. Due to her very species, she's highly protective of her offspring, her mate, and her closest friends. She will push her body and energy beyond its normal limits to keep them safe, even if it means risking her own death.
Demonic form (Neko)- This is the more social of her two demonic forms, fairly unthreatening. Her eyes hold an innocence in this form and they are a bright golden yellow. Her tail and ears are black, clashing cutely with her hair. She typically wears strapless short dresses in this form, showing off her small body. Much more relaxed than either of the other forms, and much more childish. She's still as protective as the other forms, just not as useful for protecting. She'll easily give way to either her angelic form or, if her angelic form isn’t' available, the swordswoman form.
Demonic form (Swordswoman)- This is her more combative demonic form. Unlike her neko form, this demonic form is outside Kati’s normal control. She even looks different, taller with straight brown hair coming to a bob just below her ears and cold blue eyes. She still has Kati’s protective impulses but aside from that she seems mostly uncaring. She doesn't speak much but refers to herself as "Rose" when she does.

Powers: Kati’s inherent power from her angelic mother is control of water. She usually uses it in the form of ice, her control strong enough she can change the hardness of the ice and make its melting temperature much higher than normal. She also has healing abilities; she can heal most injuries and resurrect a creature within ten minutes of their death. Her body keeps a store of reserve power in case of dire need, but use of this leaves her paralyzed for as long as she was in "Overdrive" She is unnaturally strong, able to lift five times what someone her size usually could in prime condition. In her neko form she gives up her strength and control of ice in favor of using electricity and shadow, mainly for hiding and playing honestly. Her fighting demonic form uses ice and strength as well as extreme skill with a sword.

Weapons:
Tyazhelyĭ-voda: Kati’s scythe. The handle and blade are both made of ice, formed only when needed. It is also made stronger than steel through Kati’s power. When not in use, the blessed water that makes up the scythe sits in a bottle on Kati’s hip. There have been many an occasion when Kati, drunk, almost consumed the water as well, believing it to be vodka. (Means "Hard water")
Shpaga: Roses sword. A large claymore of unknown composition. All that can truly be found about it is that it is intangible to any touch but Rose. It grows harder when enemy blood is shed upon it, so it is called by some the "Bloodthirsty sword" (Pronounced "Eppegh") (Since it's Russian and Russian makes almost no sense)
Neko forms claws: In her neko form, Kati produces a weak poison, the only cure for which is a strong dose of Kati’s own healing ability. It takes at least two days to kill and it works by corroding the electronic signals in the bodies neurological system, using her control of electricity against the body.

Abilities:
Whiteout- When grievous harm is done upon someone close to her, in any of her forms, Kati loses control. Her eyes glaze over with white and the temperature in the immediate area drops roughly 98 degrees. Water vapor condenses into jagged ice on all surfaces and people, acting like razor blades. Kati will proceed to attack whoever hurt her charge with Tyazhelyi-voda, or, if she is currently in the form of rose, Shepaga until her body is exhausted entirely or the attacker is dead/fleeing beyond her reach.
Vapor stepping- She turns her body to water vapor and then the vapor quickly flows to a place within her sight. (Can’t be used in fights because of concentration)
Ice companions- she often enchants large forms of ice with contiousness to protect her and assist her. The longer an ice elemental is aware, the more inteligent it is and the more character it develops. Her oldest elemental has been with her for 50 years now and is called Crystaline. It oversaw her giveing birth to both children and protected her body so it could be reanimated when she died

Other:
Due to abuse by her first husband, a vamp, she grew to enjoy being fed from. Something of an alcoholic, one of her favorite activities has always been drinking with her friends. Little is known of her history because she lost her memory in her recent death. She was brought back by her son who inherited her abilities.
She's currently married to Oliver's father, Kyle Shane.
