The Ruins of Alexandria

She pouted up at him "I have work...and we have to make you better too" she coughed in her hands again. Cuddling close to him she smiled. "All day in bed with you sounds fantastic" she cuddled him lovingly, shivering more. "I feel so tired"

He smiled and pulled her face to his. "No work for you today, I will be fine, just gotta keep drinking fluids, you need to drink fluids as well, and the juices from the fruit will help." He kissed her softly. "Since staying in bed with me all day sounds so fantastic, lets do it. The work can wait, right now we both need to get ourselves back to healthy."

Aubs kissed his nose, then cuddled closer in his arms. "Fine let's both get better. You need fluids too." She sipped the juice and lay back on her pillows. Holding his hand she kissed that hand "what are we going to do in bed all day?" She asked. She felt unproductive.

He took a sip of the juice and sighed. "What can we do?" He moved the hair out of her eyes and kissed her forehead, gently playing with her hair.

Smiling at what he was doing she shrugged. "I don't know.." she said softly to him, still a bit tired, still running a slight fever. She pulled the sheet up and cuddled him. "Do you feel better? " she said softly. Her head was pounding.

He draped his arm around her and the sheet, pulling her even closer. "I am feeling much better thanks to you." He said with a smile, looking into her eyes and locking them with his.

Nuzzling him she nodded. She worried about Alex, how she was doing with Desix there with her. How Mandelyn was doing and adjusting over at Alex's house. Aubs knew she was there, knew she had arrived here, but because Luka ended up injured could not come to the castle to stay. Aubs sighed softly biting her lip as she looked up at Luka, Looking away she coughed again into her delicate hands. The fever was at least going down. Sitting up so she could breathe she continued to cough, her body jerked from it.

He sat up next to her and took her hand inbetween his. "Are you ok hon?" He asked with concern in his voice as he tried to help her keep her body steady.

She kept coughing, body continuing to jerk. Shaking her head at his question she kept coughing. Holding onto him she tried to steady herself while Trying to gasp in breath.

"LINARES!!!!! JANIER!!!!!" He called as she gripped his clothes tightly, unable to calm her coughing fit, he held her tightly in his arms, worried that he would lose her now that he was finally returning to himself. He laid her down on the bed and pinned her down so he could check to see if her airway was blocked.

Aubs just squirmed, her skin was burning him, the glyphs on her skin were glowing white hot. Her demon was burning up inside of her and causing an imbalance. She pushed him off of her, grabbing her bag with shaking hands she filled a syringe, filling it she jabbed the needle into her arm pushing the plunger. Still trembling, she was gasping in breath, coughing less and less.

He stepped forward slowly and carefully. "Aubresiah? Are you ok?" He placed a hand on her shoulder and rubbing it up and down her arm, glancing down at the empty syringe she had injected into her arm.

"Not really." She said softly, the burning of her skin was going down slowly. "Its medication to keep everything in my body complacent." She said noticing him looking at the syringe. Tossing it back into her bag she took slow deep breaths.

"You mean the demon?" He stepped up and enveloped her in his arms, hugging her gently. "We all have those we have to fight, both literally and figuratively." He kissed the top of her forehead.

"Not just the demon dear." She shook her head coughing , clearing her throat. "If any part of me gets over powerful, it strives to be the dominant in my body, therefore tries to destroy the other parts inside of me. If it cannot have me none of the other parts can." Her body felt tingly, like she had slept on her arms wrong, just all over her body

"I wish I could say I knew what you were going through." He held her gently in his arms. "We both know it would be a lie, so I won't say it, but know I am here for you Aubs. I love you, and nothing could make me forget that." Even though his memories had been erased, she had been in his dreams constantly.

Leaning against him she sighed softly. "At least you are being honest." Smiling softly she looked up at him. He could see the black goo, running through her veins in her arm. "I love you too Luka." she whispered to him. Standing up she shook her wings to get the sensation back in them

"Let's travel from here for awhile. Get away from it and take some time for ourselves, to figure out a plan for our future." He looked deep into her eyes and smiled slightly. "That is assuming you would like a future with me." His eyes held hope.

"Can we really do that when we have so much to do here?" She looked at him sadly. She wanted to but she also wanted to help others, the others needed them here. The shadows and the Shiners. They were not things to take a vacation during. "We can go look for help to deal with the Shiners though"

"Then we will make it a vacation/expedition to seek assistance. I have heard of a place called Mantis Castle, maybe we can start there?" He squeezed her again and kissed her forehead before sitting down.

"Castle Treyd you mean? We could try there." Nodding she agreed "It would be a good idea. Never know how many people we could need to help us." Nuzzling him she sighed "I feel better. When would you like to go?"

"Lets leave tomorrow hon. We can pack provisions tonight, get some rest and leave out after breakfast. We can fly if your wings are up to it." He sprawled out on the bed, thinking of the trip

Nodding she let him sprawl out, her head resting on the plush pillows, legs crossed, arms crossed over her chest. "My wings are up to it." Calculating everything they would need, if something bad were to happen, and for jsut a short trip she nodded. Her wings were pressed tightly against her back. Sleeping with another person in bed made her feel like she took up to much space. she knew Mandelyn had a special bed made for when she was married and when she did share a bed with her husband so her wings didn't ache in the morning, and so she did not feel as if she was taking up to much space. Aubs shivered from being cold and pulled the blankets up to her shoulders. "Ill have to go see someone first...actually three someones that aren't here. I can say goodbye to Linares and Janier in the morning. But, I need to go say bye to my teacher, Desix and Alex. Alex was hurtting bad when I found her, but I was caled here for other important things. Desix is staying with her until she is fully herself again as is my teacher." Aubs said softly

He nodded as he made room for her on the bed and curled up next to her, attempting to warm her up. "That shouldn't be a problem. After breakfast we will go say goodbye to your friends, then we will get on the road." He skiled and kissed her softly.

Aubs sighed wrapping a wing around Luka. "You can't come Luka. You might get a memory flood" Kissing him back softly she looked up at him. "You know my teacher...very well...and she agrees even that seeing her would...likely harm you greatly." Biting her lip in a nervous habit she observed from Mandelyn she closed her eyes
